摘要:Higher-order tensors are suitable for representing multi-dimensional data in real-world, e.g., color images and videos, low-rank tensor representation has become one of the emerging areas in machine learning and computer vision. However, classical low-rank tensor representations can solely represent multi-dimensional discrete data on meshgrid, which hinders their potential applicability in many scenarios beyond meshgrid. In this talk, we discuss the recent development of tensor representations in data science. Both theoretical results and numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the usefulness of tensor representations.
报告人简介:吴国宝(Michael K.Ng)教授,数学家,2017年当选美国工业与应用数学学会院士(SIAM Fellow),获得冯康科学计算奖,2024年被任命为美国数学学会院士. 现任香港浸会大学理日韩无码
院长、数学系讲座教授兼数据科学讲座教授。主要研究方向为应用与计算数学、人工智能与机器学习、数据与影像科学与数值线性代数与科学计算。吴国宝教授先后担任多个著名杂志主编或者副主编,包括SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences,SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing,Journal of Scientific Computing,Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics等。吴国宝教授发表学术著作700多篇,文章引用次数多达2万多次。
